Chithra Ratham for Murugan, Valli and Theivanai during the August 2009
Celebrations of the Nallur Festivals.
The calendar of events is as follows.
Friday, August 7th
8:00 AM Homam and Abhishekams to Ganapati and Murugan
10:30 AM Ratham Vellodam (Trial Run)
Saturday, August 8th
9:00 AM Kavadi and Palkuddam, Murugan Abhishekam and Theepa Arathanai to Murugan and Utsavar
11:30 AM Utsavar brought to the Ratham and the Ratham pulled by devotees around the Temple Veethi
2:30 PM Ratham brought to base, Utsavar descends from the Ratham and taken inside the Temple
3:30 PM Thirukalyanam.
